DG NYSC WARNS STAFF AGAINST TRUANCY
The Director-General of National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim has warned members of staff to desist from truancy and be more committed to their duties. He also admonished them to shun other counterproductive tendencies, which include laziness, rumour mongering, lateness to work and the like.
The newly appointed NYSC helmsman, who assumed office on Friday last week made this known on Monday while having his first interaction with officers on grade level 14 and below at the National Directorate Headquarters, Maitama in Abuja.
Brigadier General Ibrahim, who announced that his administration will be fully committed to improving staff welfare appealed to the staff to cultivate good human relations and be more dedicated to their jobs, while promising an open-door administration.
"Your entitlements would be given to you as at when due. There is always reward for hardwork and for the Scheme to move to the next level, all of us must work together as brothers and sisters.
"Avoid discrimination, shun rumour-mongering, shun bike-biting, religious and ethnic sentiments", the DG said.
The 18th Chief Executive Officer equally promised to reinvegorate the Ventures and Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Departments of the Scheme, to make them more vibrant, through more robust synergies with stakeholders and other collaborating agencies.
